I bought this kettle from this store. Less than a year later it started to rust inside, they replaced it under warranty at the store. I thought maybe I got a defective batch... but after a year and a month it started rusting inside again, and the warranty had already expired. I strongly advise against buying this model. I don’t know whether ALLO sells a fake or Xiaomi makes such nonsense! Beautiful in appearance It started to rust after a year of use; it cannot be turned on remotely or from a phone. Total disappointment. The bluetooth function is added exclusively for the "smart" title. Temperature maintenance function, temperature display, design. Honestly, I have no idea why this kettle has bluetooth. You cannot set a timer so that, for example, when you return from work or wake up in the morning, boiling water is waiting for you from which you can make coffee. No, you can only observe in real time any temperature of the water in the kettle now and change it. Who needs it and why?
As mentioned above, the connection to the smartphone takes place via Bluetooth. Usually, devices that do not have a Wi-Fi module and connect via Bluetooth use ZigBee technology and an intermediary in the form of a gateway that has access to a Wi-Fi network and allows you to control such devices from a smartphone without having to connect to the device again every time you return home. It also allows you to control the device when you are not at home. So forget everything I said, because there is nothing like that here, you are just an observer of the OSCE who can only observe how the temperature in your teapot gradually rises. The water boils, that's the main thing. Since my boyfriend loves to drink pu-erh/oolong teas and other fancy teas, it was important for him to find a kettle with temperature control, since each type of tea requires a certain water temperature. We decided on this device. The good thing is that it boils water quickly, displays the temperature of the water inside the kettle, and maintains the temperature button. Controlled from a smartphone via mi home, you can select the water temperature (40-90, steps of 5 degrees) and how many hours the kettle can maintain the temperature (maximum 12). Among the shortcomings: for a smart kettle, I would like to activate boiling via the phone, we were deprived of this opportunity. There is also a drawback that only one user can control this device, which means its versatility decreases. Ольга Б.: use Xiaomi Mi Smart Kettle Pro few months |
New version of smart kettle from Xiaomi
The Xiaomi Mi Smart Kettle Pro Electric Kettle MiJia series is an upgraded version of the previous generation Xiaomi MiJia Smart Kettle, which was released in 2016. Externally, the devices are almost indistinguishable: the same high-tech design, double-walled cylindrical body and external trim elements. The new appliance uses a similar 1.5L 304 stainless steel flask and a 1800W hidden ring heating element that brings the kettle to the boiling point in 5 minutes. The hinged lid, which opens with a button, received a two-stage smooth shock-absorbing stroke. The model is equipped with a British TM Strix thermostat with an extended service life (10 years) and high accuracy of temperature maintenance based on data from a temperature sensor installed in the bottom of the flask.
Smartphone control via the Mi Home app
The main difference between the smart kettle and its predecessor model is the presence of a digital display built into the handle. With it, you can monitor the current water temperature (thermometer), as well as set the heating and keeping warm mode. The kettle can be intelligently controlled remotely from a smartphone via Bluetooth through the proprietary Mi Home application, which provides easy integration of the device into a smart home system. By default, the user has access to 5 built-in temperature modes, each of which can be changed in the application at your discretion in the range from 40 °C to 100 °C. Here you can also set the keep warm mode with maintaining the temperature of the heated water (40 – 90 °C) for up to 12 hours. The device is equipped with a 3-level security system that automatically turns off the power when boiling, low water level in the flask and short circuit wiring. At the bottom of the disc base there is a reel for winding excess power cord.
